In Dark Times

In my comment, I was making the point that how one feels about the assertion of generational perspectives depends on one's generational perspective. It was not meant as a comprehensive political and cultural history of the last thirty years. So for example, the GenX comment was meant to capture how many GenXers feel about their position relative to Boomers in terms of power and influence. Also, the fact that I generalized about basic economic opportunity horizons by generation does not mean that I have no feeling for, or know nothing about the arc of social movements and identity struggles, etc. I just didn't mention them. If you'd have asked me (apparently not an option) I would have acknowledged these things, but gone on to explain why I think the perspective of Millennials that they have it worse still have validity.
